Do you sell board games?

Yes! We sell a selection of used board games from our game library as well as other gaming products when available. If you're looking for something specific, ask our staff and we'll see what we can help you find.

How does the board game library work?

Our board game wall features hundreds of games for customers to enjoy in the café.

Game Library Access:

  • Break From Work Pass: $2.50 (Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM)
  • 2-Hour Pass: $5
  • Day Pass: $10
  • Monthly Membership: $20/month (includes unlimited game library access)
  • Annual Membership: $200/year (includes unlimited game library access)

Not sure what to play? We're always happy to recommend a game or help teach the rules.

Are the books for sale?

Absolutely! We specialize in manga, graphic novels, comics, and other geek-friendly reads. Whether you're a longtime fan or just getting started, we'd love to help you find your next favorite book.

Do I need to buy something to stay in the café?

Yes. Mayhem's is a customer space, so we ask that visitors make a purchase if they'd like to stay and enjoy the café, game library, Wi-Fi, or seating areas. Even a coffee, tea, or snack helps us keep the space running for everyone.

Can I come in and work, study, or read?

Absolutely. Many guests use Mayhem's as a place to work remotely, study, read, or meet with friends. We offer free Wi-Fi, though the café can be lively during events and busy evenings.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes! Free Wi-Fi is available for customers.

What kinds of books do you carry?

Our collection focuses on:

What does the café serve?

We offer coffee, espresso drinks, tea, specialty beverages, baked goods, snacks, sandwiches, and seasonal menu items. We work with a variety of local vendors and regularly update our offerings.

Do you host events?

Yes! We regularly host board game nights, RPG sessions, tournaments, book clubs, community gatherings, and special events. Check our website, social media, or Discord for upcoming events.

What's the parking situation?

Several parking options are available nearby:

  • Steinman Park Garage directly across the street
  • Hager Parking Lot nearby
  • Street parking throughout downtown

Street parking is free after 6:00 PM daily and all day on Sundays.

Can I bring in outside food?

We discourage outside food and drinks. Our books and games are shared community resources, and outside food can create messes that damage them. We appreciate your help keeping the collection in great condition.

Do you have private rooms?

No. At this time, all gaming and seating areas are part of our shared community space.

Do you sell gift cards?

We offer gift certificates, which make a great gift for readers, gamers, and coffee lovers alike.
