About Us

What is Mayhem's?

Mayhem's Bookstore & Board Game Café is a local gathering place in downtown Lancaster where books, board games, coffee, and community come together.

We specialize in manga, graphic novels, and comics, maintain a board game library with hundreds of games available to play, and serve coffee, tea, baked goods, and other café favorites. Whether you're meeting friends for a game night, looking for your next great read, or just stopping in for a coffee, we'd love to have you.

A Family Business

Mayhem's was founded in 2024 by brothers Peter Milazzo and James Leavy with the goal of creating the type of place we would want to hang out at.

Mayhem's would not exist without the support of countless friends, family members, customers, and community supporters who helped us get started. Today, we're proud to continue building a space where everyone feels welcome.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: to create a place where people enjoy spending time together.

We believe books start conversations, games create friendships, and a good cup of coffee makes everything a little better. Whether you're here for a quick visit or an entire afternoon, we hope Mayhem's feels like a place where you belong.

Welcome to the adventure,  We're glad you're here!
